Site rules

Last updated 24 October 2026

The Painters Desk (paintersdesk.com) is run by AK Tabletop Studio for people who paint miniatures and models. By making an account or sharing anything here, you agree to these rules.

What you can share

Recipes, tutorials, palettes, photos, comments and your profile should be about painting, models and the hobby. Battle scenes, monsters, skulls, blood effects and gore on painted models are all fine.

What isn't allowed

Nudity or sexual content, in photos or artwork.
Real gore, injuries or violence against people or animals.
Hate, harassment or threats, including hate symbols used to promote hate.
Anything sexual or harmful involving children. We report this to the authorities.
Illegal content, illegal drugs, or anything that breaks someone else's copyright (only share photos you took or are allowed to use).
Spam, scams, adverts and misleading links.
Pretending to be someone else, or sharing other people's private information.

How we keep it that way

Every photo is checked automatically when you upload it, and photos that look like they break these rules aren't saved. The check can make mistakes; if a fair photo is refused, tell us with the Feedback button.
You need a confirmed email address to upload photos, and there's a limit on how many you can upload an hour.
Anyone can use the Report link on a public recipe, tutorial, palette or profile. Moderators read every report.
Moderators can hide or delete photos, recipes, tutorials, palettes and comments, and block accounts that break these rules. A blocked account can't upload, comment or share anything publicly, and its public posts become private.

Your content

You keep the rights to what you share. By making it public, you let us show it on the site. You can edit or delete it at any time. See the privacy policy for what we store.

Age

Accounts are for people aged 13 and over.

Changes

If these rules change, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
